(Jamboree On The Air)

I personally love doing Special Event Stations, JOTA was really enjoyable.  But not when they fail to support the event.

A talk was given to each troop a week before the event, they were all very enthusiastic, but they still failed to turn up.

Wake Up You Scouts.

The call sign obtained was the usual GB0MSG, the MSG stands for Mangotsfield Scout Group. Don, G0NQJ has already obtained the license and we were ready to go.

The Actual Day

The Saturday  was slow, very slow, scouts only came in because they were going on a hike and camp that weekend.

Non of them knew we were there for them, and only one came across to have a word.  Then It was "Right lads, line up outside" and they were off on their "Hike."

Don, G0NQJ made contact with a German station also having no scouts turn up .  He also made a great effort setting up a station for them.  It was school half term for them, but it should be no excuse

Sunday was a disaster.  Not one Scout turned up.
